This session is exclusive to The Global Startup Program participants.
The Global Startup Program is an innovation program spearheaded by the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Government in partnership with Dubai Future Foundation and AREA 2071 to support Italian startups expand their growth in international markets and scaleup.
As part of the program, we will focus on how to drive innovation into governments, introduce UAE’s innovation ecosystem and provide them with access to setting up in the UAE, capacity building workshops, innovation challenges and investor introductions.

In this workshop, the speaker will invite participants to Think Ahead, challenging their assumptions of innovation and futurism. What is changing, really? What can we truly credit to the systemic changes affecting us all? These questions and more are explored in this intense, but rewarding workshop that hopes to stimulate creativity and inspire for a better future.

Rakan is an established corporate innovation leader, digital veteran, and future technologies expert with 15+ years of professional and international experience.
He strategized and directed the execution of numerous high-value projects with global reach. In his current role, he relied upon by the federal and local governments of the UAE to provide strategic input, consultation, and leadership in numerous high-profile digital and emerging-technology projects. He is also a member of the UAE Government’s AI Expert Network.
